Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Droozi — privacy, features, pricing, and getting started.
Privacy & Security
Does Droozi track my live location?
No. Droozi never tracks or broadcasts your real-time GPS position. You manually create a future plan for where you expect to be — and only that future plan is visible to your connections. Where you are right now is always private.
Who can see my pins?
You control visibility for every pin. You can share with all connections, a specific group, or keep a pin entirely private as a personal reminder. No one sees anything you haven't explicitly chosen to share.
How is my location data stored?
We do not sell location data to advertisers or third parties. Your future pins are only visible to the people you explicitly choose to share them with. Future monetization will come from optional Pro features — not data monetisation.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete individual pins at any time, and you can request full account deletion from the app settings. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
Features
What is a future pin?
A future pin is a location you plan to visit — a city, neighbourhood, venue, or custom point on the map — along with a date range. When you share a future pin, your connections on Droozi can see you'll be in that area and reach out to meet up.
How do events work?
You can create events tied to a location and time. Events can be private (invite-only), public (discoverable by anyone on Droozi), or shared with specific connections. Attendees can RSVP and receive a reminder.
How does Google Calendar integration work?
Droozi can surface future Google Calendar events that have a physical location, including hotel stays that Gmail automatically adds to Calendar. The app prompts you before adding them to future travel, so nothing is published without your approval.
How does the LinkedIn connections import work?
Droozi can import your LinkedIn connections so you can see which ones are also on Droozi and where they plan to be. This import is read-only — we never post to LinkedIn on your behalf or access your messages.
Can I see connections on a map?
Yes. The map view shows future pins from your connections, letting you spot who will be in a city before you arrive. Pins are clustered when many connections plan to visit the same area.
Pricing
Is Droozi really free?
Yes. The current core Droozi experience — creating future plans, creating events, adding connections, Google Calendar travel prompts, and seeing who is coming to your city — is free with no time limit and no credit card required.
What will the Pro plan include?
Pro is currently in development. Planned features include advanced privacy controls (fine-grained audience filters), priority discovery in your network, extended pin history, and team coordination tools for groups and organisations. Pricing will be announced before launch.
Will the free tier stay free after Pro launches?
Yes. Features available today in the free tier will remain free. Future Pro plans may add optional power-user capabilities, but they will not lock away today's core planning tools.
Platform
What platforms does Droozi support?
Droozi is available on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). A web companion for viewing your map and managing events is on the roadmap.
What iOS and Android versions are supported?
Droozi requires iOS 16 or later and Android 10 (API 29) or later. We aim to support devices released in the last 4–5 years.
Getting Started
How do I get started?
Download Droozi from the App Store or Google Play, create a free account, and add your first future plan for somewhere you expect to be. Then invite friends or import LinkedIn connections to start seeing who else will be there.
Do my friends need to use Droozi too?
To see each other's future pins, both people need a Droozi account. You can invite friends directly from the app via a shareable link. Anyone can sign up for free.
